Name: Mariana Wehbe
Mariana Wehbe is a philanthropist and she has contributed positively to SmallWorld. After many years of volunteering for several of the Middle East’s foremost and effective NGOs, she began auctioneering to assist in raising much-needed funds.
As an auctioneer, she has worked tirelessly on behalf of the various non-profit organizations to auction works of both noted regional and international multi-medium artists- the likes of Ayman Baalbaki and Nabil Nahas. She quickly gained a reputation for efficacy, lively stage presence, and an engaging auction manner which led her to head some of the largest auction events in the region. A combination of dynamic personality and well-researched auction pitches have helped Mariana generate significant funds for the Middle East branch of the Make A Wish foundation (locally referred to as Tamanna), and the Brave Heart Fund, an altruistic organization devoted solely to financing heart surgeries for underprivileged children. The Middle East office of Human Rights Watch has seen unprecedented success with Mariana’s auctioneering, and continues to involve her in their auctions.
In addition to works of art, Mariana has auctioned off high ticket items such as limited edition vehicles, home furnishings by designers such as Nada Debs, experience packages with personae of note and luxury experience trips.
Mariana’s success at auctioneering is spurned by a drive to assist those in need, channelling both her personal history and a passion for philanthropy.
