Tony Hanna is a famous Lebanese singer. His support at the cause of SmallWorld is appreciated. Tony Hanna was born in a small village called Ma'ad Jbeil in the heart of the Lebanese mountains. He then lived five years in London, then in Detroit for 20 years before returning to live in his homeland.
He began to be talked about in the early 70s. He quickly became an artist and a great singer with a very particular look. Tony Hanna, with his costumes worthy of those of King, he also share the same tailor, was even dubbed by a British journalist the “Lebanese Dali " because of his famous mustaches.
At that time, he was accompanied by Dabkeh, professional dancers in the style of traditional village dances. With his charisma and his songs especially rhythmically, he was invited to sing not only in major Arab capitals, but also in United States, Paris, London, Australia, Brazil, Venezuela, and Argentina. One of his most famous songs "Yaba Yaba Lah" became a classic of Arabic music.

When he’s asked about the reasons for this professional suicide, Tony never gave any response. However, he remade surface in the early 2000s, in"Tony Hanna and the Yugoslavian Gipsy Brass Band" and in "Tony Hanna and the Orchestre National de Nowheristan", two productions of Michel Elefteriades.
These two multicultural formations blend perfectly Balkan Gypsy music with a style inherited from the Janissaries (elite infantry under the Ottoman Empire). It includes sounds from different cultures meet and Bouzouki Oud trumpets and trombones.
Despite his advanced age, Tony Hanna continues to ignite the crowd, with a particular musical style musical repertoire between Lebanese mountain gypsy and folk music.
